Stu and I took a weekend trip to visit my mom in New Mexico… we stayed at the Hyatt Resort, took a day trip to Santa Fe, and ate lots of yummy food!

This is where we were married: The Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

…and we stood on the staircase

A broken window…
Last night, or this morning, however you want to look at it…resulted in a broken window for the Smiths. It started off as a normal night…only thing different was that we opened the door to our bedroom and made Daisy go sleep in the living room because, lets face it, the pup has a snoring problem. So, normally we don’t sleep with our door open, but thankfully we did.
At about 1:30 we were awakened by a car alarm going off outside…come to find out that it is one of our cars. :( So I run to find my keys in the dark and turn it off. After a few minutes we come to the realization that the alarm would only be going off if the door had been open without being unlocked first…FAIL.
So at this point we know that someone has been in the car and had to of broke the window… So we wait until the police get here to go outside to see the damage. The front seat was a mess! There was papers and glass everywhere! We now have most of the contents of the car in one of two trash bags, one of stuff to keep and look through and another of trash.
This morning I have been thinking of all of the things that I had inside the car… lots of CD’s, all of the paperwork that has ever come from the maintenance from the last 7 years, a pair of Vera Bradley sunglasses, a tape adapter, and an iPhone charger that didn’t work for me. All in all I have not checked to see what CD’s are still here, there are possibly 20ish missing…but boy, I bet they are disappointed to have Country and Christian CD’s! Possibly my Wizard of Oz Soundtrack! (which could be sad for me). And the broken iPhone charger. Thankfully they didn’t take my designer sunglasses…the one most valuable item there.
But we learned that Daisy is not a very good watch dog…FAIL.

One rainy day… daisy is sad because the sun hasn’t been out for days! What is a fat girl do to when she can’t soak up the sunshine?

…January in photos.

Maybe not the best little blogger ever, but I can show you some quick snapshots of the month…Most of them are the dogs because I love them and think that they have some pretty funny personalities. Then there is one at the airport that is a reminder of how good God is, because Amos Ivey is now home with his family!
